Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Paige, Seth Rollins, HOF Inductions & More
February 7, 2019
Time to play catch-up and it’s time for another wrestling Q&A. My thanks to Matt, Jesse & Lauren for the questions. One is never quite enough. Let’s do this.
Paige has said that she’d like to return to WWE TV as a manager. Good idea?
I’ve mentioned this many times before and I would love to see Paige or some other woman act as a manager in the Women’s Division. I’ve always been a big fan of managers and the roles that they can play in getting over talents who might not have the charisma or promo abilities to get over on their own. Paige is a good talker and using her in this way would be a great way to get her back on TV and get some other talents, both male and female, over as well. Paige could easily become a modern day version of “Woman” for example with a touch of Sherri Martel thrown in for good measure. It’s definitely a good idea.
Where would you rank Harlem Heat among the all-time greats in tag team wrestling?
As I answered in my previous Q&A about the Road Warriors, the same holds true for Booker T and Stevie Ray. A good and talented team and very, very good, but so long as my memories still have Ole & Gene Anderson, The Midnight Express, Arn & Tully, etc among them, the Harlem Heat will always be in the back seat.
Spoilers indicate that the Hart Foundation (Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart & Jimmy Hart) will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Thoughts?
This will make both Bret Hart and Jimmy Hart two time Hall of Fame Inductees, but that’s quite okay. They deserve it and it’s a nice way to pay homage to a great tag team that was very important in the history of WWE. Also, I’m sure it’s a favor for Natayla as well, but regardless of the reason why, it’s a good pick and well deserved.
Are the Bella Twins Hall of Fame worthy?
As wrestlers and performers, probably not, but the WWE and Vince loves them and they do bring in a lot of money with the reality shows and other things so they’re probably a lock for eventual inductions. I don’t much like it as a wrestling fan, but I’m also a realist and they’re going in.
Seth Rollins is allegedly having back problems. If he is unable to face Brock at Wrestlemania, who should replace him?
If for some reason, Seth can’t make Wrestlemania (and we all know that anything short of death or being crippled won’t stop him), then the most likely choice to take his spot would be, in my opinion, Drew McIntyre. Drew versus Brock would be a match for the ages and definite money.
Who is the best female superstar in WWE?
All things considered including quality of matches, promo ability, relationship with the fans, etc, there are very few that even come close. Becky may claim the title, but Charlotte is “the man”. ‘Nuff said!
Should WWE do a GWF invasion angle with Jeff Jarrett?
Given how good WWE is with “invasion angles”, I would say “NO!”.
Should the match at Wrestlemania be Becky versus Ronda Rousey or should it be a triple-threat match with Charlotte added?
It should be one on one, Becky Lynch versus Ronda Rousey, period. While Charlotte is arguably the top female performer in WWE and wouldn’t hurt the match in the ring, it’s one on one with “The Man” fighting “The Baddest Woman On The Planet” that we all want to see and that’s how it should be, pure and simple.
Do you prefer having the McMahon family run the TV shows or would you prefer having “General Managers” back in charge?
I’m already suffering from too much McMahon on TV. It was and is old and needed to be modified and updated, but I definitely prefer the idea of an “Executive Supervisor” or “Commissioner” or yes, even a General Manager, as the top official on TV.
Should R-Truth be given a long run as the United States Champion?
He deserves it as much as anyone and I’m glad to see Truth getting a chance to be a champion in WWE so I would say “YES!”.
And there you go, My thanks for reading. Questions, comments and any thoughts, let me know what you think. Until the next time, take care and I’ll see you at the matches. Have a great one. Good night.
