Good morning and welcome to the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. No time for love, Dr. Jones. Thanks to Matt for the questions. Now let’s do this…

Which team do you think has a better future in WWE – Heavy Machinery or The Viking Raiders?

I think both teams have an ascension in their futures, literally. They’ll have jobs and be used on occasion, but I can’t see anything big on thehorizon for either team. At least the Raiders are former NXT Tag Champs so they might get a few weeks with tag team gold at some point, but for the most part, the fates of both teams will be the same. Comedy and filler for multi-man tag matches and lots of time spent in catering eating the chicken salad.

Favorite McMahon?

Linda. She’s not involved in the business and we never, ever see her on WWE TV.

Do you think that AEW will be a serious threat to WWE?

They have talent, money behind them and what looks to be a prime-time spot on TNT coming up. I think this is the biggest potential threat to WWE since WCW closed down. And with WWE ratings currently on the slide, I think that Vince and the WWE had better take notice and step their game up or they may find themselves, at least in terms of TV ratings, as #2 once again.

Do you miss Sasha Banks?

Not at all. I’ve always considered her over-rated and with her sitting on her couch at home whining about woe is me, this gives women like Dana Brooke and Nikki Cross a chance to step up. This works more for me.

Who would you consider the “Big Three” of American wrestling?

Growing up, the “Big 3” was always the NWA, AWA and WWF. Then the AWA folded and the NWA became WCW so it was WCW, WWE and ECW. And now, I would rank the “Big 3” as WWE, Impact and ROH. I didn’t list AEW because they’ve only run one event so far and haven’t started on TV yet. When that happens, I think Impact might be cut from the list and replaced by the new kids, but for now, I’ll go with the three I have listed.

The Briscoes versus The Usos – who wins?

The Briscoes, long time top tag team for ROH, have issued challenges to the Usos on Twitter and in social media and that would be a hell of a match between two of the top tag teams in the world today. I like both teams and I think if they fought ten times, each team would win five of the matches. And if there was a sudden death, no DQ, anything goes 11th match, I’ll be pulling for the Usos. I think Jimmy and Jey would take it in the end.

Did Rhyno make the right decision in deciding to leave WWE when his contract expires?

Almost twice the money and he turned WWE down because he wants to be out there more often and wrestle more often. I can understand the passion and desire to be in that ring every night and to be active instead of just a filler spot on the roster, but I think personally, I would have gone with the money and WWE.

How would you go about making Heath Slater a top star?

Just make him serious instead of a clown. Have him do a deed so dastardly that even the other bad guys on the roster are shocked. And most importantly, have him start winning, clean and decisively over top stars. Do this and the rest, the love of the fickle fans and the merchandise sells, will come.

And there you go. Questions, comments and any thoughts, drop me a line. Until the next time, take care and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
