Tossing Salt Presents:
Thoughts & Predictions
June 27, 2019
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will present Fyterfest, live this Saturday from Daytona Beach, Florida. This event will be available on the Bleacher Report free live stream in the United States. Signing up for a free Bleacher Report Live account will be required. This show will also be available on FITE TV. And since it involves the alleged Number Two promotion for wrestling in the United States, although ROH, Impact and MLW might argue that point, that means that before I call it a day, it’s time to break out the Psychic Friends Network group uniform one more time and do some of that predicting thing. And now, let’s do this and get that fortune telling crystal ball moving and grooving. And away we go…
Jon Moxley versus Joey Janela – Non Sanctioned Match
This one was just announced today and it’s anything goes, no rules and let the fist fly as they may. This should be one hell of a match, but let’s get serious here. Moxley is not going to lose a major match this early in the game. Joey will come close and give the man formerly known as Ambrose a run for the money, but in the end, Moxley wins and takes that victory lap to the pay-window.
Winner: Jon Moxley
Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. AAA Tag Team Champions Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix & Laredo Kid.
This one night have a bit of a shocker as it’s three of the top guys in AEW against the tag champs and their partner. Laredo is the odd man out and is there just to take a fall. Yes, I said it. And he will after a great match with lots of actions and lots of fans screaming their heads off. A souble superkick by The Young Bucks and Laredo Kid looks up at the sky and sees stars.
Winners: Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks
Cody vs. Darby Allin.
Cody wins. End of story here.
MJF vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Adam Page vs. Jungle Boy
This match should be awesome and could go in almost any way with all the guys deserving the nod and being at the top of their game. Page is going to be wrestling Jericho for the AEW Championship in a few months and that right there says that he can’t afford a loss as easily as the rest of the men. I’d love to see Jungle Boy win as a reward for the amazing facial reactions during the Tommy Dreamer – Orange Cassidy confrontation at the Double or Nothing event. As great as that spot was, the reactions of Jungle Boy in the corner watching made it a million times better. But this won’t be his time. Page should and will win.
Winner: Adam Page
Christopher Daniels vs. CIMA.
As much as I love watching “The Fallen Angel” do his thing, I think his thing these days, more often than not, is taking the fall. CIMA is an amazing wrestler and I think we’ll see the man in the mask take home the win here.
Yuka Sakazaki vs. Riho vs. Nyla Rose
I’ve no idea about any of these ladies and thus, I have to make a random guess based on nothing but their names alone. Daytona Beach is where the Rose Bowl comes from, right? I’m not sure about that, but I remember that the Golden Girls was a tv show about four women in Florida and one of the characters, played by Betty White, was named Rose. And this match is about three women in Florida and one of the women is named Rose. So it’s a sign from above.
Winner: Nyla Rose
Jebailey vs. Michael Nakazawa: Hardcore match.
Again, two men that I have no idea about. So with that in mind, I’ll just make a guess for the dumbest of reasons. Jebailey could be considered a shortened version of the name of a friend of mine named Jesse Bailey. And since Jesse is a cool dude, I’ll assume that Jebailey is too. And thus, that tells me who should win.
The Best Friends vs. SCU vs. Private Party with the winners advancing into the AEW Tag Team Championship scene at All Out.
In honor of my best friend, the Infamous One, I have to go with the Best Friends. No reason aside from that. This should be a good match though and all three teams are outstanding at what they do. I’m just going with the name.
Winners: The Best Friends
Kylie Rae vs. Leva Bates (with Peter Avalon)
I’ve seen Kylie Rae a few times and she’s one hell of a talent. I haven’t see Leva Bates perform as of yet, but that name makes me think she must be kind of Psycho. She has a manager so that means that most likely, she’s the heel here. I don’t think he’ll be able to help her all that much. I think Kylie will end up taking out Avalon and pinning Bates, getting her arms raised as the winner of this match.
Winner: Kylie Rae
And there you go. Thoughts, comments and any questions are welcome. My thanks for reading. And with that, I’m out of here. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you at the matches. Take care.
