Ultimate Wrestling Q&A: The Horsemen, Technicians, Sammy Guevera & More…

Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
The Horsemen, Technicians, Sammy Guevera & More
April 16, 2020

It’s Q&A time about the world’s greatest form of entertainment. My thanks for all the questions. Now, let’s see if I can come up with some answers. Let’s do this…

Elimination Chamber. The Six are: 1. Jake Roberts. 2. Arn Anderson. 3. Magnum TA. 4. Nikita Koloff. 5. Meng. 6. Rick Rude. All in their absolute prime. Who wins?

This would be an epic match for the ages and in all honesty, any of these men could win and it wouldn’t be an upset in any way, shape or form. I don’t think Arn or Meng would win because they’ve never been considered top guys and having them win wouldn’t make much sense. Magnum is the only true face in this match so I think the numbers game would work against him and the heels would team up to take him out. For some reason, I don’t see Nikita getting the win here. So between Jake and Rude in the end, I think that Rude might and should be the one to get the win.

Jerry Lawler & Brian Christopher versus Dusty Rhodes & Dustin Rhodes. Who wins?

Three of these guys had great singles runs and were top stars in their own right. Grand Master Sexay, Brian Christopher was not, not really. I think he’s the weak link here and that would be the deciding factor. Dusty and Dustin win if you will.

Who never was a Horseman but would have made a good member?

Larry Zbyszko would have been good in that role. Al Perez might have worked. And the rumored idea, until Jim Herd squashed the idea, that would have had Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane, the Midnight Express, would have been excellent.

Which wrestler perfected the sleeper hold?

The best sleeper hold was perfected and practiced by “The Dean of Professional Wrestling” Johnny Weaver. Nobody did it better, before or after.

Top 5 tactician wrestlers? Who would your choices?

William Regal, Bob Backlund, Jack Brisco, Nick Bockwinkle, and Dean Malenko are the first names that come to mind.

Of all the WWE wrestlers released yesterday (Wednesday), who do you feel will most likely end up in AEW? Impact Wrestling? Japan?

For AEW, I think the most likely suspects from yesterday’s mass firing would be Erick Rowan, Zack Ryder, and Curt Hawkins. For Impact Wrestling, I think EC3 & Drake Maverick, and Eric Young are likely to make a return and Sarah Logan would be a good fit as well. And finally, Japan. If Gallows and Anderson don’t make at least one return to New Japan and the Bullet Club, I’ll be very surprised.

Is Sammy G. the next Eddie Guerrero?

Nope. There is and was only one Eddie Guerrero. Sammy Guevera is himself though and that’s far more than enough. He’s a talented young man and learning more and getting better every day. Eddie is a good person to emulate but in the end, Sammy just needs to be Sammy. Nothing more.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts or questions, please feel free and give me a shout. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe in this wild and crazy world. Don’t forget to support your local Indy wrestling and wrestlers. I’ll catch you on the flip side.
