Tossing Salt Presents:
Questions By Casper III
June 7, 2020
One of the more interesting people that I follow on Twitter is a man named Tyler (The Ghost) Casper. (@tyler_casper) Check him out and give the man some love and a follow. Now, what was I saying? Oh yeah, he asks a lot of questions. And the regular readers of this site know how I am about questions, right? So I went down his Twitter feed and copied 15 of the most recently asked questions. And now, for your reading pleasure (and because of the great response I got the last time I did this), it’s time to provide a few answers. So are you ready? Let’s do this…
Who is your favorite Willie Wonka?
How many were there? Gene Wilder was the original movie version of Wonka and then, many years later, the great Johnny Depp assumed the role. So that’s two. Were there any others? If there was, I missed them. So Depp or Wilder? I love me some Johnny Depp and he’s my favorite Cry-Baby, but as the Master of the Oompa Loompas, Wilder is the best.
What is the best pet to have?
Everyone needs to own a midget. They’re, cute, cuddly, and are great for tossing around at bars and clubs. Okay, that’s probably offensive to someone of short stature. My apologies if this answer went over your head and you can’t take a little joke. Honest answer. I love cats. I’m a cat man. Not the “Cat Man” as he was a second rate supervillain who annoyed Batman from time to time, but definitely a big fan of the feline species. I love cats of all species and sizes and should own a cat-zoo. By the way, fuck that bitch, Carol Baskin.
Do you care if your clothes clash?
I don’t care if they get along or not. I like all of my clothes and so long as they can act appropriately when being worn, it’s all good.
What do you think is the worst parenting style?
I am not a parent so I can’t really judge others. I do think that kids should do chores and have responsibilities, be treated as individuals based on their maturity and personalities, and be allowed to make their own decisions and mistakes as they grow up and deal with the responsibilities and consequences as well. Being over-protective is nearly as bad as not giving a damn at all and kids need to be kids, but they also need to be allowed to grow and become adults as they grow older and develop.
Where do you go when you need an escape?
To my computer. And if I need more of a physical escape, I go up to the church where I do volunteer work for the Food Bank and hang out in the warehouse or to my place of employment where it’s quiet and more relaxing than here at the house.
Do you know anyone who is a control freak?
Yes, I know several who are very controlling in many ways. My Mom is like that as are a couple of my friends. Not so much demanding as manipulative to be in charge. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind usually since I know how they are and can play the game as well. If I don’t want to do something, I won’t. It’s just who and how they are and part of their charm and personality and part of the package in having a relationship with that person. We all have our quirks and personality traits and that’s just part of theirs. No big deal.
Do you pray before you eat?
I usually do say a silent prayer before I eat. Yes.
When is it too early to start doing Christmas shopping?
It’s never too early. If you see something that you think a person may like and want to get it for them, get it. Don’t worry about the calendar or the occasion. Just do it.
Where do you want to be in 2021?
Celebrating the re-election of President Trump, living here at my home in a relatively pain-free existence, happy and in a good relationship with a good man. Financially secure would be awesome as well.
What is something you want to see in 2021?
I’d like to see the site take off and become more than just my personal self-analysis center. I’d like to see my income increase dramatically or else my bills shrink, whatever works best. I’d like to see my feet fixed so I can walk and stand pain-free for a change. I’d like to see Trump as President and Pelosi, Maxine, Schumer, and Adam Schift all out of a job. And I’d like to see my friends and family be successful, happy, and free of pain and worries. And finally, I’d like to see a good man here as my partner when I come home each day, till death do us part.
What is something that defines your character?
Being honest, open-minded, accepting, and willing to help others even if there isn’t anything in it for you.
Has anyone else noticed the weather forecasts being way off?
The weather forecasts are never right. Never have been and probably never will be. They just need a cricket, similar to the one Granny had on the Beverly Hillbillies.
What is the most annoying phrase you say?
“And there you go!”. Also, “I know that’s right” annoys the hell out of me, but that’s when others say it, not when I do.
Would you rather make a meal, or have it made for you?
I love to cook, but it’s hard sometimes when I can’t stand long at the stove or oven due to my feet issues to prepare the food. I enjoy it when others cook too if they know what they’re doing and it’s something l like. Fast food is probably my least favorite, but for the sake of convenience, it’s probably what I eat most often. I’d rather be the one cooking ninety percent of the time.
Do you own a smoker?
No, they’re just friends and family. I don’t own anyone. Slavery is illegal unless it’s a midget. Then everyone should own one. Just saying.
And there you go. (See, I told you that I say it too much!) My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions, feel free, and drop me a line. Go check out Casper on Twitter and while you’re there, check me out too at @Doug28352@yahoo.com. Follow me. I follow back. And now, I’m out of here. Stay safe and have a great one. I’ll catch you on the flip side.
