Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Brock Lesnar, Great American Bash & More
June 25, 2020
It’s time for your daily dose of inquiries about the world’s greatest sport. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this…
Which team is better? Sasha & Bayley or Le’ Sex Gods?
While I have a lot of love for Bayley and Sasha, the team of Jericho & Sammy is arguably one of the best things going on in AEW right now. Jericho has found a protege who is taking in and learning as much as he can from Le’ Champion and running with it. Well, he was until some foot-in-mouth issues from many years ago came back to bite him in the ass. But Sammy and Jericho are tag team magic, both in the ring and on the mic. Sasha and Bayley are good, but they’re not Le’ Sex Gods. Not even close.
Worst gimmick ever?
The ones that immediately come to mind are Bastion Booger, Kevin Nash as “Oz”, The Ding Dongs, The Yeti, and “The Red Rooster”.
Who was the master of the “foreign object”?
I guess it would be either Abdullah the Butcher or The Original Sheik, but honorable mention has to go to William Regal. His “power of the punch” was amazing to see.
“Macho Man” Randy Savage versus Harley Race? Who wins?
In a shoot, it would be Harley, but for both men in a wrestling ring, in their primes, I think Savage would more often than not be picked to win or else it’d be a no-contest with a DQ finish.
Who was the best “big man” in the history of professional wrestling?
Is it Ernie Ladd? How about John Studd? The Big Show? Yokozuna? Crusher Blackwell? Haystacks Calhoun? Vader? All of these men have had moments and are legends in the business we all know and love, but there is only one true “Giant”. And that is The Great Khali. Bwahahahahaha! Just kidding. Andre the Giant gets the honors with this question.
Brock Lesnar is the latest talent to be named in the Speaking Out Movement, being accused of “flashing” Terri Runnels. How do you think this will affect the rest of his WWE career?
It’s going to be blown over, buried, and forgotten about. Brock probably did do exactly what Terri said, but it was years ago, and considering what WWE was allegedly like back in the wilder and crazy days, this will be played off as “boys will be boys” and won’t affect or hinder Brock and his WWE status a single bit.
WWE is bringing back The Great American Bash for NXT to compete against AEW Fyterfest? Good idea?
Absolutely. WWE realizes that AEW broadcasting Fyterfest on TNT is a challenge that they can’t ignore so they break out the big guns and make NXT a special event as well. And using The Great American Bash, a concept that was allegedly created by Dusty Rhodes, is just making it that much more serious and a slap at the AEW brand. Both companies are pulling out all the stops in their efforts to gain an advantage in the Wednesday Night Wars and the winners are the fans who will have two big events to watch and choose from.
Who would you rather team up with if you had the choice? The Elite or the Inner Circle?
Is this even a real question? Team up with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega or else be with the GOAT of AEW, Le’ Champion and Sammy, Jake, and the others. It’s not even close for me. Inner Circle all the way baby!
