One of the more interesting people that I follow on Twitter is a man named Tyler (The Ghost) Casper. (@tyler_casper) Check him out and give the man some love and a follow. Now, what was I saying? Oh yeah, he asks a lot of questions. And the regular readers of this site know how I am about questions, right? So I went down his Twitter feed and copied several of the most recently asked questions. And now, for your reading pleasure, it’s time to provide a few answers. So are you ready? Let’s do this…
What is your favorite ice cream brand?
As of right now, it’s Turkey Hill. It’s available at Food Lion, it’s got some good tastes and flavors, and it’s cheap. I like cheap.
Do you have a walk-in closet?
No, I have a small hole in the wall filled with boxes of magazines, comics, and other miscellaneous items and a few clothes on hangers crammed in there as well. It’s part closet, part storage room, part land of mystery. Hell, I’m not even sure of what all is in there but so long as I can get the door closed, it’s all good.
What is one animal you would never share a bed with?
A woman. Hey, I’m gay. Remember? Nope, scrap that. I have many friends of the female persuasion that I would gladly sleep next to. And many friends of the male persuasion I would gladly sleep next to as well. So an animal I wouldn’t share a bed with? I watched the Kevin Smith movie “Tusk” again the other day. A definite must-see movie. Justin Long is incredible in this. And with that in mind, I’ll go with a walrus.
What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Usually on the left side away from the door.
Who was your favorite Gilligan’s island character?
It’s a hard call, but I think I’ll go with Lovey Howell. Mr. Howell was cool too and Jim Backus was an amazing actor. Go watch him as the dad in Rebel Without A Cause. But no one ever seems to have any love for Natalie Schafer. She was in her sixties when she starred on Gilligan’s Island and was an amazing actress.
Who was your favorite character from Hogan’s Heroes?
Did they ever solve the murder of Bob Crane (Hogan)? According to Wikipedia, it’s still unsolved. Damn, that’s a shame. As for my favorite character from the show, I have to go with John Banner, who played the lovable but dimwitted Sgt. Shultz. His catch-phrase, “I know nothing! Nothing!” was great and is one I still use quite frequently to this day.
Who was your favorite MASH character?
MASH was a great show, but I never really got into it until the last few years. I’ve seen most of the episodes now and if I’m scrolling the TV and see it listed, I’ll usually watch for a few minutes. As for my favorite character, I’ve developed a fondness for Col. Potter. Any man who loves horses can’t be all bad, right?
Do you know the difference between “then” and “than”?
Yes, I do.
What is your favorite heat and eat meal?
I’m not too picky, but I am partial to grabbing a hot dog, slapping it on a bun, and nuking it in the microwave for a minute. Would that be considered a meal? Probably not, but with a microwave, any food item can be considered “heat and eat”. A meal? How about a Hungry Man TV dinner. I like fried chicken. Yummy!
Who was your favorite Beverly Hillbillies character?
Without Granny, there was no show. She gets the nod here.
Do you have a headboard?
I actually do. I have to have something to bang my head into during sex, right?
Do you sleep with blankets in the summer?
I sleep with blankets all year long. They may get kicked to the side as the night goes on, but at the beginning of my sleep cycle, I have to have them.
What is the funniest thing a child has ever said to you?
Are you my daddy? Long story and no, I’m not. Damn brat!
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments or thoughts, drop me a line. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. Thank you, Casper. I’ll see you on the flip side.
