Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Extreme Rules, Impact Wrestling, The Wyatt Family & More

Time is short and so was my ex, if you catch my drift. It’s time for the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. The questions come from Facebook and The Cheese. The answers, that’s all me. Let’s do this…

Thoughts on WWE Extreme Rules. What was the best match? The worst match?

It was an interesting show and hard to describe. The Cinematic match between Bray and Braun, that wasn’t a match, but instead a weird-ass short film. Since it wasn’t a real match, it’ll get the nod for the worst thing passing for a match. Not to say it wasn’t entertaining to a point, but that was not wrestling. Most of the matches were good up until the end, but the finishes. oh vey! I liked the Rey versus Seth match, but the ending sucked. It was a stupid stipulation anyways. And Asuka versus Sasha was damn good, again until the end. I get why on how they ended it, but it still brought things down a notch or two. And Dolph was buried. Again. The best match will go to the tag match with New Day losing to Cesaro & Shinsuke. It wasn’t a bad show, but I’ll be damn glad when things go back to large crowds and live audiences again.

Is Impact Wrestling getting good again?

Impact Wrestling has been good, but it’s just that no one has been watching or paying attention. I think that with the returns of EC3, The MCMG’s, Madison Rayne, Eric Young, etc, and the new additions of Heath Slater & The Good Brothers, they’re going to start getting a lot more attention and people taking notice. They were a top promotion at one time and I think they’re ready to be one again.

Should Rey Mysterio stay with WWE or do you think he should go to AEW?

WWE is his best option and from what I understand, he’s been spotted in Stamford at WWE HQ so that’s probably the way he’s leaning as well. It would also work better to making sure Dominic has all the best chances of being a success and making it in this business. AEW might be nice for the short term, but for the big picture and long-range planning, WWE is the best option.

Are you looking forward to hearing Jim Cornette review WWE Extreme Rules?

Damn straight. It is going to be brutal and an extremely good listen. I’ll try and find it tonight when I get home from work.

If Bray Wyatt was to start a new Wyatt Family, who would you like to see as part of it?

Of course, Brother Bo Dallas would be a great addition and since everyone seems to have forgotten about the Forgotten Era, how about inserting them into the World of Wyatt. And Braun back as Bray’s monster make even make me like him, but I doubt it.

MVP versus Konnan. Who wins?

So far as wrestling goes, I’ve never been a big fan of either. Not so much for their mic skills either, but I do admit that Konnan is okay on the podcast. I like how he gives Disco Inferno hell. This match would be a bathroom break for me, but I think, in his prime, Konnan was the better wrestler. K-Dawg wins.

And there you go. My thanks for reading.
