Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Logan Stunt, Dark Side Of The Ring, Garrett Bischoff & More
October 19, 2020
It’s Monday morning and you know what that means. Another edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Which of Bret Hart’s five WWF title reigns is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be?
I’m not a big Bret Hart fan admittingly, but you asked so I’ll do my best to answer. Most of his reigns were solid, with the exception of the one-day reign where he lost to Sid Vicious one day after winning the belt in a 4-way Elimination Match the night before. I’ll go with the 5th reign as the best since he had a wide variety of opponents at the time, some great matches, and the epic way the reign ended in Montreal with the screw job.
Logan Stunt (Marko’s brother) has been accused of sexual misconduct from an event this past weekend. Thoughts?
The way I read it described, Logan had an encounter with a woman he knew casually and was a dick. He tried to cop a feel and made some crude suggestions. She rejected his offers and he left. It sounds like he was a stupid idiot acting like a stupid idiot, nothing more and nothing less. This woman admits to having issues with anxiety and depression and even admits that she may be over-sensitive and over-reacting a bit. Logan contacted her the next day to apologize and check on her and that should be the end of it so far as I’m concerned. Now though, it’s on social media and made the news and he’ll probably lose jobs and be blackballed for doing what almost every single guy with any kind of balls has done at some point, being a dick. He apologized and nothing happened. In my opinion, she’s over-reacting big time and this is a non-story. It’s a non-event at best.
Whatever happened to Garrett Bischoff? Should AEW or WWE sign him?
So far as I know, Garrett has moved on in his life since leaving Impact Wrestling, although as of 2018, was still working the occasional independent wrestling event. He was a good worker and with the Bischoff name, could be a strong part of either WWE or AEW if they decided to go that route. I don’t think full-time wrestling is on his agenda anymore though and if WWE was going to sign him, they probably already would have.
Who was the better big man and why? Yokozuna or Vader?
I have to go with Vader on this one. Yoko was good for a man his size, but he got winded far too easily and during the later parts of his career was practically immobile at times. Vader on the other hand was doing moves from ropes and could go against almost anyone and have a great match. For this comparison, it’s definitely Vader Time.
What topics would you like to see covered for Dark Side Of The Ring, Season 3?
From what I understand, the WCW trip to North Korea is already on the agenda so that’s great to know. The story of Art Barr, aka “The Love Machine” would be fascinating. The story of Gino Hernandez would be great to see. And how about the rise and fall of the AWA? All would be fascinating to watch and learn about.
What actors could play Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect in an Oscar-winning biopic?
For Mr. Perfect, how about his son, Curtis Axel? He has the body, the skills, the acting ability (Marine 5 anyone?), and the perfect resume. To play Bobby, I’d like to see Woody Harrelson tackle the role. He’s an odd choice and I know that, but I think he would be excellent as “The Brain”.
Preferred George Gray gimmick: One Man Gang or Akeem?
Akeem was stupid and racist. Give me the One Man Gang every time.
MJF says he wants to join the Inner Circle. Thoughts?
MJF joins, takes over, eliminates Jericho and we get a great feud between the two best talkers in AEW. Works for me.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions to ask, just drop me a line and we’ll get it done. Take care, stay safe, and watch out for the crazies. I’ll see you on the next go-round.
