Coming up tomorrow night, live on pay-per-view from Jacksonville, Florida, is AEW’s biggest show of the summer, Full Gear. It’s a stacked card to be sure and thus, that means it’s time to stack up a few predictions for the event as well. Let’s do this.

AEW Tag Team Championship — FTR (c) vs. The Young Bucks

This is the match I’m most looking for as FTR defend their tag team straps against arguably the biggest names in tag team wrestling currently in AEW in the EVP’s, The Young Bucks. Tully Blanchard, manager of FTR is banned from ringside so that should prevent any shenanigans, but then again, we’re talking about one of the original Horsemen so you know they’ve got a plan. I know that everyone seems to be expecting the Bucks to win here and take the titles, but I don’t think so. This is a potential feud that has plenty of miles left on it and could be a classic if allowed to play out. So look for great action and lots of close calls for potential new champions, but at the end of the night, the title belts will stay exactly where they are. Don’t forget that Tully also manages Shawn Spears, who has been MIA as of late. Tully is banned from ringside, but Spears isn’t. Just saying.

Winners and STILL AEW Tag Team Champions: FTR

AEW World Championship — Jon Moxley (c) vs. Eddie Kingston (I Quit match).

The build and promos for this match have been excellent and both Moxley and Kingston have set the bar high for expectations. And I think they’ll deliver. I’m not a Moxley fan by any means, but he knows how to put out a good fight. And Kingston has long been under-rated, but I think he’s going to bring his A-game tomorrow night and prove all the naysayers wrong. I don’t see the belt switching here though. Look for a war with injuries and casualties on both sides, but at the end of the night, it will be Kingston forced to utter those “two words, five letters”, allowing Moxley to retain.

Winner and STILL AEW Champion: Jon Moxley

AEW TNT Championship — Cody (c) vs. Darby Allin

Cody, who is a Rhodes again, against the painted up skateboarder, Darby Allin. It’ll be a good match and I suspect that this is where we’ll get our “surprise debut” in the shape and form of Sting. If he’s going to come to AEW, this would be the time and who wouldn’t like to see Sting and Double-A face off? I don’t see Cody dropping the title just yet though. Allin is good and he’s going to be champion one day, but this just isn’t the day.

Winner and STILL TNT Champion: Cody

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals — Kenny Omega vs. “Hangman” Adam Page

Here we go with the soap-opera style love-hate match that everyone is wanting to see. The winner goes on to challenge Moxley or whoever the AEW Champion at the end of the night. The loser? He goes back to the starting line and looks for another opportunity down the road. The build has been excellent and I do not doubt that the match will be as well. Omega is on the rise and I think his time is now. Page had his chance at the big belt early on so I don’t see it happening now.

Winner and NEW Top Contender for the AEW Championship: Kenny Omega

AEW Women’s Championship — Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Nyla Rose

Excuse me! I like what I’ve been seeing from Shida in the ring and she’s one tough lady, but I just have that feeling that we’re going to see at least one title change hands at this event. Since the men’s titles all seem to be secure, this will be the one. Shida had a good short run, but Vickie Guerrero’s client will be wearing that belt again at the end of the evening.

Winner and NEW AEW Women’s Champion: Nyla Rose

Chris Jericho vs. MJF

If Jericho wins, then MJF remains a solo act and this story is over. That is not going to happen. If MJF wins, he joins the Inner Circle and we see a power-struggle ensue with Y2J versus MJF with the rest of the circle forced to take sides. And how do you think the rest of the group would look at their leader if he lost the match instead of winning? This story has legs and about a million directions it could go, but to get there, MJF has to win. And he will.

Winner and NEW Member of the Inner Circle: MJF

Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara (Elite Deletion match)

As much as I love Sammy, it’s Matt’s kind of match and taking place at the Hardy Compound. There can be only one outcome. Sammy will be DELETED! I expect we’ll see lots of craziness and cameos from some unexpected faces during the match and anything can (and will) happen, but the results will always be the same.

Winner: Matt Hardy

Orange Cassidy vs. John Silver

John Silver is comedy gold. He’s absolutely the best part of the Dark Order and isn’t it crazy that he has a match on the pay-per-view, but the leader of the faction, Brodie Lee, doesn’t. This match should be fun and full of comedy spots. I expect Silver will impress a lot of people. He won’t win of course. That is reserved for Pockets, the man of Citrus. He’s the one who’s getting the big push after all. But the match should be a good one and open eyes for a lot of people.

Winner: Orange Cassidy

NWA Women’s World Championship — Serena Deeb (c) vs. Allysin Kay (Buy-In pre-show)

Serena Deeb just won the AEW Championship a couple of weeks ago and I doubt she’s coming to AEW to drop the belt this quickly. I just remembered something. Deeb used to be the disciple of CM Punk and part of his Straight Edge Society. Maybe Punk is the surprise and he’ll show up in this match to support his former protege? Nah, I don’t think so either. It’ll be a good match to start the show, but this is one belt that I’m pretty sure is not going to change hands.

Winner and STILL NWA Women’s Champion: Serena Deeb

And there you go. My thanks for reading. So who do you think will be winning and losing tomorrow night at AEW Full Gear? Who will be their surprise making an AEW debut? Any guesses?
