Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Dennis Rodman, Sting, The NWA & More
November 5, 2020
It’s time to do that Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Have we elected a President yet? Let’s do this.
If 2020 was a wrestler, who would it be?
This guy. The video says it all.
Eric Bischoff has said Billy Corgan’s attempt to bring back the NWA was a big mistake. Thoughts?
He didn’t say that and Eric’s comments are being taken out of context. He questioned resurrecting the NWA Championship after the way it was buried by WCW and then later, TNA. So far as Corgan and the current NWA goes, Eric has gone on record as wishing them success.
Does Dennis Rodman belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?
While Rodman was a big part of WCW and the nWo, I would say no to this one. While Cyndi Lauper, Regis Philbin, and David Arquette are not in the Celebrity Wing of the Hall of Fame yet, an induction of Rodman would be a slap in their faces in my opinion. Let’s take care of the celebrities that actually deserve a spot first and then we can talk about Mr. Rodman.
There are rumors that Sting will be coming to AEW to manage Darby Allin. Thoughts?
Sting is seemingly not under contract to WWE anymore and there have been hints to this possible partnership so it could happen. I wouldn’t mind seeing Sting face off against Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard again. My gut says that it won’t happen, but part of me still wishes it would. I guess we’ll find out Saturday. It would be a strong push for Allin and help his career.
What wrestler you’d choose to play what comic book hero?
Brian Cage as Wolverine would be a no-brainer. How about John Cena in the role of Captain America and the legendary Baron Von Raschke playing an elderly Baron Strucker?
Was Brian Pillman better as a heel or as a babyface?
As a face, Pillman was good, but nothing really special. When he first started getting an attitude (with Johnny B. Badd) and then later as a member of the Horsemen, he really peaked and developed into an amazing character. Pillman was definitely a natural heel and excelled in that role.
The Enforcers (Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko) versus The Young Bucks. Who wins?
The Bucks can do all the superkicks that they want, but The Enforcer and The Living Legend would tie them up, break them down, and give them a beating of a lifetime. Arn and Larry win.
Should MJF join the Inner Circle or do you think he is better off on his own?
I like MJF as a solo character, but I am interested in seeing what he is capable of as part of a group and the (most likely) upcoming feud with MJF versus a face Chris Jericho. I think a run with a group would be a positive move for MJF and help build his character. I’m also interested in seeing which members of the Circle side with MJF and which ones stay with Jericho when the big split comes (and you know it is). I’ll speak more on that when I do my Full Gear predictions, but I want to see a union between MJF and the Inner Circle. I think it will be entertaining and fun to see.
And there you go. My thanks for reading.
