Tossing Salt Presents:
Impact Wrestling Turning Point
Thoughts & Predictions
November 14, 2020
I almost forgot, but later tonight on Impact+, as well as on pay-per-view, Impact Wrestling will be presenting Turning Point. It’s a packed show, but so is my schedule for today so we’ll make it quick and to the point. It’s prediction time. Let’s do this.
Impact Wrestling Champion Rich Swann vs. Sami Callihan
The main event and it should be a good one. I like Sami Callihan, but Swann hasn’t had the opportunity to show what he’s capable of as the top guy for the company. It’s too soon to take the belt off of the new champion. I also feel that this feud has legs and is just getting started.
Winner and STILL Impact Wrestling Champion: Rich Swann
Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Su Yung vs. Deonna Purrazzo – Anything Goes.
I’ve been underestimating her in the past, but I managed to watch a few of Purrazzo’s matches on YouTube and guess what? I like her. The last time she went after the Knockouts Championship, she came up short. I don’t think history will be repeating itself here. We’re getting a new champion.
Winner and NEW Knockouts Champion: Deonna Purrazzo
Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The North vs. The Good Brothers
All the fanfare and hype and thus far during their current run in Impact, Gallows & Anderson have accomplished absolutely nothing. It’s starting to look like a bust, but things can change. Will it be here at Turning Point? I would say, “YES!”.
Winners and NEW Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions: The Good Brothers, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
TNA Champion Moose vs. Willie Mack.
While I like the idea of someone (Moose) resurrecting the old TNA Championship and giving the wrestlers a secondary title to challenge for, I must admit I have not been following this story. Moose or Mack? I’ll go with Rocket J. Squirrel’s best friend.
Winner and STILL TNA Champion: Moose
Brian Myers vs. Swoggle.
And now, the comedy break of the evening. I’m interested in seeing how this one is booked and turns out. Myers should win. Everything is in his favor. But he’s also the man who went something like 0-178 in WWE so none of that matters. I think Swoggle should steal this one and take that trip to the pay window.
Chris Sabin & James Storm vs. XXXL
I don’t know much about XXXL, but I do know about Sabin and The Cowboy James Storm. And thus, for the team named after a t-shirt size, I have five words for you. Sorry about your damn luck!
Winners: Chris Sabin & James Storm
Tenille Dashwood & Jordan Grace vs. Taya & Rosemary.
Four ladies who can work and go with the best of them. This may end up being the best match of the night, considering who all is involved. I’m expecting Rosemary, who just got married a couple of weeks ago (and then her new husband was shot at the alter), to be distraught and distracted. That’ll end up costing her.
Winners: TenilleDashwood & Jordan Grace
Eddie Edwards vs. Daivari
Eddie is the bigger name and Eddie should win here. But that being said, I’ve always been a big fan of Shawn Daivari and that’s not going to change here.
And there you go with my predictions for Impact Wrestling’s Turning Point. Am I right? Am I wrong? We’ll find out tonight. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions about Impact, the PPV, or anything at all, wrestling related or not, feel free and drop me a line. Use the comment box or my e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay away from the crazies. I’ll see you at the matches.
