Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Cornette, Vince, Heath & More
January 31, 2021
Are you ready? It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Who is the better wrestler? AJ Styles or CM Punk?
So far as in-ring performances and matches, I’ll definitely have to go with Styles. In terms of promo skills and personality, CM Punk wins hands down. And so far as being the total package goes, Punk hasn’t wrestled a match in seven years and we’re still talking about it. I think that speaks for itself.
The five best wrestlers/managers who gave interviews?
The five best promo guys of all time? Just off the to of my head, I’ll go with Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, Steve Austin, and Jim Cornette.
Best territory before Vince ruled wrestling?
I grew up in North Carolina so my answer should be obvious. The Crockett Promotions and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling will always be the strongest and best territory in my eyes.
Is Cody a Millenial version of Jeff Jarrett?
While I can see why some might seem to think so, I don’t agree. Cody is Cody and Jeff is Jeff and they’re each doing it their own way, trying to be as successful as possible. So I would say no.
Is Jim Cornette relevent?
More people listen to his podcasts each week than watch NXT, AEW, or Impact Wrestling. I would say that means yes.
Finish this sentence. The day Vince McMahon dies, the world will?
Say a prayer for the family, mourn a bit, and then go into the discussion about whether Vince changed wrestling forever for good or bad. We’ll all be talking and thinking about Vince and the legacy that he leaves.
Paige versus Nikki Bella. Who wins?
I would definitely go with Paige on this one.
Should AEW Dynamite expand to three hours?
Absolutely not. Three hours is too long for a single show. Two hours in one sitting is plenty.
Heath Slater back to WWE? Will it ever happen?
Absolutely. He’ll rebrand himself at Impact and then eventually make a return to be challenging for the WWE or Universal Championship. And like his two former 3MB team-mates, he’ll win and all will be right in the world again.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you’d like to see answered are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
