Tossing Salt Presents:
Hospital Chronicles: Part 1
Race Theory, Vampire Movies & More
April 5, 2021
Yes, I am still alive. I’ve been away for a few days due to problems with my foot, another surgery, and a whole lot of that depression/anxiety stuff. It’s been a hell of a week, but I kept it together and managed to survive. And now, we’re back. I have so much stuff on tap to write about and cover including the WWE Hall of Fame inductions, Wrestlemania, several Ultimate Wrestling Q&A’s, and possibly a new edition of “Dear Dougie”, but alas, not yet my friends. One thing at a time and it’s time to get the party started with notes.
While in the hospital for six very long days, with no computer, very limited television, and a lot of angst, I took notes and wrote down things that would come to mind. A lot of political stuff, a lot of common sense stuff, and a lot of what the hell stuff as well. My mind was bouncing around all over the place and the result was twelve sheets of paper, filled up on both sides, of rambling, scribbling, and Lord knows what else. And now, it’s time to look back, quickly address each subject or topic, and talk about it for a few. “Why”, you ask? Because that’s what I do. There is no way to cover everything in just one blog, but I’ll tackle a few pages and then come back later for more in a future blog. It’s either do this or go sit in the dark in my room and wish I was dead. That already happens far too often so let’s ramble and rant and tackle these notes instead. So are you ready? Let’s do this.
The first page isn’t all that. Just a list of things that I know I needed to do as soon as I was released from the hospital (Thursday afternoon), a note that my babies (Storm, Mouth, and Sparky) need me, and a note that I should rewatch the CMT Outlaws Concert from 2004 that featured Hank Jr., Kid Rock, Big & Rich, Montgomery Gentry, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings, Jessi Colter, Tanya Tucker, & Gretchen Williams. It’s a hell of a show and there needs to be a part two. I don’t know why that show was on my mind, but it was and I did look it up when I got home.
Page two is a little more all over the place. The first thing asks if the filibuster is racist or not? The Democrats want to get rid of this procedural tactic in the Senate and have decided that the best way to do so is to call it racist. It sure as hell wasn’t racist when they used it to block Republican bills and get their stuff through the Senate, but now, all of a sudden, it is. Typical Democrat argument. Call everything racist regardless of facts or reality and stir the pot as a distraction to sneak their own power=grabs and political agenda through. No, the filibuster is not racist. It’s just a political tool that is part of the history and rules of the United States Senate. Anyone who says anything else is a total stupid idiot and probably racist as well.
My next note says to ask for help with my idea about a serial killer musical. I have names written down as well. Joshua and Eric. It may happen if I can ever get focused and get back to that. Yes, a musical about serial killers. If the South Park guys can do one about Mormans, I think the idea of Jim Jones, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy and a few others singing about their exploits isn’t too much to ask for and think about.
Sharon Osbourne was fired from “The Talk”. It’s a set-up and stupid as hell. Go Sharon and fuck “The Talk”. Bunch of hypocritical, two-faced, racist bastards.
The triceratops was the coolest dinosaur ever.
I think that commercial about an upcoming edition of Wild & Out with the old rappers versus the new rappers inspired this one. How about an ultimate rap off with Biz Marke, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Roxanne, Oran “Juice” Jones & Queen Latifah versus Kayne, Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly, Struggle, Little Wayne, Cardi B., Jelly Roll, & Yelawolf. There are good talents on both sides and then again, there is trash like MGK, Cardi, & Kayne. I have no idea what this actual note is about, but I name-dropped a lot of people on this note. I still hate Rap. West Texas Rednecks were right. Rap is crap.
Critical Race Theory: The white man is the devil and every white person is racist and trying to oppress and destroy people of color. That’s the idea behind this absolute load of garbage. If a person doesn’t have a legitimate argument or facts, just play the race card. It’s the “new American way” and it’s absolute and total bullshit. White privilege is a total lie as well used to promote the narrative of the hater and baiters out to get everything for nothing by screaming racism and playing that race card in every argument because they’re feeling entitled. America has fallen so much and become a sad shadow of what it once was and could be. And the media and political powers-that-be, that who deserves the blame. I was brought up to love my country and my fellow people. I was taught to look at character and actions rather than worry about something as unimportant as skin color, religion, or status. If you’re cool, you’re cool and if not, you’re a piece of shit. It’s that simple. At least it was. And now, it’s all race and entitlement. God Bless America. America, rest in peace. I miss you.
Taxing people by the mile? Mayor Pete, you’re a stupid idiot.
And finally, a question. Was “The Lost Boys” the best vampire film of the ’80s and ’90s? The best? I don’t know because I am a big fan of “Interview With A Vampire”. The Lost Boys was awesome though and has one of the best soundtracks for any movie ever. And it’s a damn good movie. And that’s really all that matters. It stands the test of time.
And I guess I’ll quit here. This was all from just three sheets of paper and the first two were only partially filled. I may as well make this a series, right? That sounds like a plan. It’s not as if I have anything else to do until I get cleared to go back to work. So there you go folks and that’s just the beginning. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Yes, I am back bitches and I’m not biting my tongue anymore. Until the next time, stay safe and take care. Don’t be a racist bitch. And I’ll see you on the other side.
