Fruit Cake, The X-Men & More

This world is full of questions and this is where I tackle them, five at a time. Let’s do this.
If you could bring back any television show from the ’70s in an updated format, what show would you bring back?
From the seventies? The Love Boat? Sorry, but I can’t think of anything else right now. A cruise ship with rotating guest stars, three storylines per episode, and a permanent cast of regulars to revolve the rest of the things around. When I first saw this question, I was thinking Golden Girls, but that’s an 80’s show. And my other choice, All In The Family, wouldn’t work in today’s “woke” society. So Love Boat it is.
Do you eat fruit cake?
That just doesn’t look right to me. There is really only one fruit cake in existence and it gets passed around from family to family during the holidays. Have you ever heard that story? I think it’s true. I know some people like those things, but I’m not one of them. Fruit cake is all just yuck to me. ‘Nuff said!
Where is your “quiet place”?
In my bed, the fan blowing, the lights off, wrapped in a cover and oblivious to the world. Paradise.
How long of a massage is long enough?
Until it quits feeling good and starts getting annoying. About thirty-five minutes is good enough for me. And if anyone wants to prove me wrong, my back and shoulders are yours. Come on guys and show me what you got.
There is talk about Disney possibly changing the name of the X-Men to something more gender-neutral that isn’t quite as sexist. Thoughts?
It’s a stupid idea and Disney/Marvel Comics would have to be totally idiotic to even consider this. From what I understand, it’s just one newly promoted person who proposed this a few years ago, stating that the X-Men are not just men, and using that term is blatant sexism, but they’ve been the X-Men for fifty-five years and no one with any brain activity is going to get confused by the term because some of the team happen to be women. The X-Men have always had and featured strong female characters and if it’s not broken, don’t even try to fix it. Leave the Merry Mutants from Marvel alone. Hell, there are both “men” and wo”men” on the team. So they’re all X-Men. It’s a unifying title for the two sexes. Get over it already.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and stay safe. I’ll see you on the flip side.
