It’s Thursday and you know what that means. Are you ready to talk wrestling? It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A and it all starts now. Let’s do this.
Should MJF be the one to take the title from Hangman? If so how do you get there? If not MJF then who?
MJF would be a great choice to eventually take the AEW Championship away from The Hangman Adam Page, but not until later down the road after Page and Danielson settle their beef, and MJF settles things with CM Punk and then Wardlow. As for how to get MJF there, that’s simple. Page is the champion and MJF just has to get his attention and make a challenge so an attack backstage is pretty much all it takes.
With all the recent cuts to talent, particularly William Regal, do you think WWE is running the risk of further alienating its U.K. fan base, assuming they haven’t already?
I think WWE is risking alienating all of their fans at this point, not just in the UK.
If you could form a tag team with any Disney villain who would it be and why?
Well, Disney owns Marvel Comics now right, so my tag partner would be The Hulk. I could just sit in my corner and go, “Hulk smash!” and let him do all the kicking ass. It would be awesome!
With Vince cleaning house I think HHH should (somehow) head over to AEW for even just a single match and lose to Stunt, Cody, or even Punk just to prove a point. I think he’d excel as a coach or in a creative role, especially for the younger/NXT talent. Thoughts?
HHH would excel in a role as a trainer or creative director of sorts. No doubts about that. But give up millions of dollars and his family just to prove a point by going to AEW? If he left WWE, he’d lose pretty much everything in his life that matters. It’ll never happen.
I wanted to ask, what are your top 3 managers/floor workers in the business of all time?
There are so many good ones, it’s a very hard call, but off the top of my head, I’ll go with Jim Cornette, Missy Hyatt, and Captain Lou Albano.
Put on your booking cap, How do you book Wrestlemania, do you combine the titles, break up and tag teams, etc.
So far as the main events go, it’s two nights so the winner of the Rumble faces the champion of his choice on Night One. And the other main champion fights a top star that same night as well. And on Night 2, the two who still hold the top titles fight in a Unification Match. The only team I’d break up is RK-Bro and have Orton and Riddle fighting at Mania. The tag champs would defend their belts as would the women’s champions. I’d have Damien Priest defend the U.S. title against Seth Rollins, while IC Champion Nakamura fight Miz. And Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn go after tag team gold.
Who is your top wrestler for 2021 (men, women, and tag teams)? You can only pick one each.
For men, I’ll go with CM Punk. He’s back. Enough said! For women, I’ll go with Charlotte Flair. In the ring, she’s had an excellent year despite the B.S. outside of it. And for tag teams, I’ve got to go with FTR.
Do you think they should stip up the Punk / MJF match and either way, should Wardlow cost MJF the match?
No need for stipulations. The idea of Punk versus MJF sells itself quite well and no extras are needed. As for Wardlow, his involvement in the match should be minimal. Let Punk and MJF do it as they need to and then MJF can blame Wardlow for whatever happens. “Where were you?”
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, be good and stay warm. I’ll see you at the matches.
