The following column is scheduled for one fall, with the time limit remaining. Yeah, I’m channeling my inner Fink. It’s time to do the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. My apologies to my Twitter followers because you can’t see this. I’m under suspension for a week. Maybe I should put on a mask and post my stuff anyhow? Hmmm! Let me think about that. For now, though, it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A, and it all starts right now.

Cesaro wasn’t part of the Men’s Royal Rumble match? What is wrong with WWE? Are they stupid?

I don’t get it either because, for some reason, Cesaro hasn’t been used on the big events and when he’s on TV, he’s booked to lose. I don’t get it at all. Is it because they (WWE) are stupid? Hell, that answer works as good as any because if they’ve got a talent like Cesaro on the roster and don’t use him, they must be absolute morons.

Should the West Texas Rednecks pull their music from Spotify?

Oh no. If they do that, how will we know that rap is crap? We’d have to listen for ourselves and decide. I think that the legendary WTR should leave their music exactly where it is and continue to be one of my favorite bands. Here’s their video for our enjoyment. You’re welcome.

Dory Funk Jr. just turned 81 years old. Thoughts on the former NWA World Champion?

While not one of the greatest promo guys in the world, Dory Funk Jr. was and is one helluva great pro wrestler. He did his talking in the ring and time and time again put on wrestling clinics with the toughest stars of his era. I was fortunate enough to see Dory wrestle a few times back in the early ’80s against such stars as Jimmy Valiant, Rick Steamboat, and a few others and in that ring, it was always a fun and exciting match. I have much respect for Mr. Funk and he is truly one of the greats.

Do you think we could just get Vince McMahon back on commentary to keep him out of creative?

That would never happen and Vince is not going to leave the creative process alone so long as he’s alive, breathing, and semi-sane. And to be honest, at his current age, I don’t think he would be very good at the commentary anymore. Back in the day, yes, but now, I just don’t see it and don’t want to hear it. We’re stuck with Vince in creative and just better get used to it.

How long would you build up Hook to have him win his first championship in AEW? Which title would you have him win? Who would you have him defeat?

I’d just have Hook doing as he’s been doing, winning matches, looking good, and keeping an air of mystery about him if possible, for at least a few more months. And then issue a challenge to the TNT Champion, Sammy Guevera, and after a classic match that highlights both men, we see Hook pull out a surprise and capture the TNT title. And there you go.

How do you think Keith Lee should debut in AEW?

How about by coming out to the ring, issuing a challenge against the biggest and toughest man in the dressing room, and then when Shawn Spears comes out to answer the challenge, Lee beats him quickly and then issues a warning that he’s in AEW to kick ass. Then continue with an open challenge for the next few months where Lee can build his reputation, get some good wins, and wrestle against a variety of opponents before going after one of the titles.

Thoughts on this potential title for title match at Mania?

While part of me would like to see the WWE Champion versus The Universal Champion at Wrestlemania, I don’t think WWE should go in that direction. If they do, we’d get one big match that probably wouldn’t live up to expectations. But with two champions and two title defenses, we get two matches with a better chance of giving the fans some great action. I’d prefer to see Roman defend against Brock and Lashley defend against Seth than just have one title defense and Seth and Bobby being wasted in a nothing match in the middle of the card. Make it worth something and give the fans more bang for their bucks as it should be.

Do you think Mickie James will make another appearance on WWE TV after the horrible showing they gave her for the Royal Rumble?

I’d love to see her show up and make an offer to defend her Impact Wrestling Knockout’s Championship at Wrestlemania against the woman who eliminated her from the Royal Rumble match, Lita. I don’t think it will happen, but it’d give the fans one more title match for Mania, make history in a very positive way for WWE, and get the internet talking and speculating about everything, giving the WWE some great publicity. I know it’s not likely, but one can hope.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions, please give me a shout and we can talk. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay good. Watch out for the foreign objects and the loaded boots. I’ll see you at the matches.
