More impact than a coconut to the side of the head, it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Tony Khan owns Ring of Honor. Thoughts?
It’s good for Tony as it gives him a new outlet for his talent, for his vision, and for expansion of his wrestling empire. It’s good for ROH because it keeps the company alive, active, and strong. All in all, it’s a good thing.
All of this talk about TK and ROH. I wonder if Cody “leaving” AEW was a work because he is going to be the new face of ROH? Maybe there is a plan to run it the way WCW should have been run after VKM bought it.
Surprisingly, I saw an item of breaking news that talks between Cody and WWE have seemingly fizzled out, and it just seems to have happened as the news of Tony buying ROH broke. So was it all a work? Who knows for sure, but if Cody is a big part of the new ROH, that’s absolutely not a bad thing. I can see Tony hiring Gabe Sapolsky to work as the Booker, William Regal to help out in both on-camera and backstage duties, and Cody as the face of the company. That sounds good to me.
Do you think Shane is done forever?
Shane is a McMahon. Never count him out and never say never. He’ll be back at some point.
Of the Four Horsewomen of Wrestling (Charlotte, Bayley, Sahsa Banks & Becky Lynch), who’s your favorite?
Of the four, my personal favorite is Bayley. The others are good and have their strong points, but Bayley is the total package in my opinion. She’s not Asuka, but she’s damn good in every way that matters. Ding Dong!
Should Tony Khan try to buy Impact Wrestling and NWA next while he’s at it?
I think Tony is going to have his hands full with running both AEW and ROH for a while. Leave the other companies alone. Competition is a good thing.
Chris Jericho still believes he is still the best at what he does. Agree or disagree?
Chris Jericho is Chris Jericho, and even though he’s not as good as he once was, he’s as good as he ever was. He constantly reinvents himself and stays relevant. And that’s all he needs to do.
Do you think Terry Taylor was underrated?
Taylor was a solid wrestler, a solid promo guy, and a good wrestler with a creative mind. Was he great? Not in my opinion, but he was a solid mid-card performer and a good hand to have as part of any roster. He is better than most give him credit for, but honestly, just not my cup of cheap liquor.
Have you seen the stuff with Cain Velasquez? Thoughts?
A relative of Velasquez was molested by the man he went after. I may not be too impressed with Cain Velasquez as a professional wrestler, but as a man, I can fully appreciate what he did and why. If in a similar situation, I would probably do the same thing. Don’t mess with family and especially the kids… period!
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and be safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
