Better no-selling than Chris Rock after getting the “Getting Jiggy With It” Smith-Slap from Hell by the Fresh Prince, it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Personally, I’d like to see GI Jane II. Let’s do this.
Who should be a manager for Ronda Rousey since she’s not the strongest at promos? I think to turn her heel and get Paul Heyman to put her over more. What do you think about that?
Paul Heyman would be the perfect choice of managers/advocates currently on the WWE roster, but he’s in the middle of the Roman versus Brock angle, and it wouldn’t make sense for him to add another client at the moment, even if it is Ronda Rousey. But luckily for WWE, there is someone in NXT that would work well as an advocate and manager for Rousey, that being Robert Stone. The former Robbie E from TNA, has been mostly used as a joke/comedy character, but he’s got the potential and ability to be much more, and working alongside the Baddest Woman On The Planet would be a great role for him.
Ric Flair and Mark Madden are fighting on Twitter. Flair fired Madden and is going back to work with Conrad. Thoughts?
I read the entire transcript from their Twitter squabble as it happened, and even though I’m not a fan of Mark Madden in the slightest, I place the blame for this whole debacle on Flair. Madden tried to take the high road and Flair started in with the cheap shots and it went downhill from there. Their podcast, Woo Nation Uncensored, was unlistenable, and that was entirely due to Flair, who was rarely prepared, gave cliche one-word answers, and was seemingly drunk or well on the way with every appearance. Flair is a walking train-wreck and has burned every bridge he crosses with every friend he’s ever had, including Arn Anderson, Triple H, Vince, HBK, Tony Khan, and now Madden, who has been one of his biggest advocates over the past thirty years. This whole scenario was sad to see and it’s, in my opinion, 100% all because of Ric Flair. Just damn sad!
You can make one match of AEW versus WWE. Who is in the match? Any special stipulations?
One match, would be good, create a strong buzz, and put butts in the seats if you will. How about Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks versus Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens. Just to hear Jim Cornette do a review, it would be awesome!
WHAT IF Cody Rhodes is NOT Seth’s WrestleMania opponent/segment/promo/WM Moment. Who will it be & why?
If it’s not Cody, I would go with either The Great Khali, Buff Bagwell, or a returning Bray Wyatt. Let’s hope that it’s Cody.
If AEW does a Mixed Tag Team Tournament, who will be your team?
Alan Angels and Aaron Solow. Oh wait, I don’t think they’d qualify as a mixed-tag team, even though they have great chemistry in the VLOG. Hell, I’m not a biologist so how would I know? A more traditional mixed-tag team? How about Sammy & Tay Conti. Yeah, that’s my pick.
Patrick Clark, aka Velveteen Dream, recently posted on Instagram about how he’d like to come back to WWE/NXT. Would you like to see him back?
I think that Dream got a raw deal and as he says, the WWE investigations into allegations against him proved them to be false, so a return to WWE on the NXT brand would be good to see. I also though think it’s not going to happen. The allegations were part of the problem, but also Dream was said to be a big believer of his own hype and not the best person backstage, at least if the dirt sheet rumors are true. If Clark wants to make it and have a comeback, his best option right now would be Impact Wrestling or maybe even the new ROH. He needs to rebuild his brand and make an impact that makes WWE take notice and want him back or makes AEW want him as part of their roster. He needs to reprove himself and make himself too valuable and important to ignore, otherwise a return to WWE, I just don’t see that happening.
Rick and Scott, the Steiner Brothers are going into the WWE Hall of Fame. Thoughts?
What is there to think about? As a tag team, the Steiner Brothers are one of the best in the history of pro wrestling. As singles stars, Scott had a career second to none. I find it ironic given how many times that Scott has talked crap about the WWE and their Hall of Fame, but I guess having Rick’s son, Bron Breakker, as part of the WWE/NXT roster and getting a strong push changes things. But bottom line is that the Steiners going into the WWE Hall of Fame, it’s a no-brainer. Congratulations to both men for this well-deserved honor.
Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth versus Sammy Guevera & Tay Conti versus Adrian Street & Miss Linda versus Tully Blanchard & Baby Doll in a Fatal-4-Way Intergender Match. Who wins?
What a crazy and confusing match this would be. Elizabeth and Linda were not really wrestlers so I expect they’d roll out of the ring and somewhere in the distance, we’d hear Joey Styles screaming, “CATFIGHT!”. Tay isn’t too bad and Baby Doll comes from a wrestling family so we know she can throw down. Just ask Jim Cornette. Sammy likes to take too many risks and a match like this would cost him. I think when the final bell rang out, we’d see Tully and Baby Doll walking out as the winners.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, or any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and be good, my friends. And no jokes about GI Jane. Will Smith doesn’t like that stuff. Well, he does at first until Jada gives him that look. I’ll see you at the matches.
