What do you do when a cat decides that you need to be awake, several hours before you actually need to get up? Get up of course. And then what? Me, I write about the world’s greatest sport. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. And thank Mouthie for this. It’s all his fault. Let’s do this.

Does Lex Luger belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

The simple answer is yes. While he wasn’t by all accounts the best person to be around in his younger days, Luger had a great look and a great career, including multiple world championships and a run as a member of the greatest faction of all time, The Horsemen. Definitely a Hall of Famer. No doubt about it.

Thoughts on Gene Anderson?

The only real “Anderson” of the infamous Anderson Brothers, the quiet member of the team, a surprisingly good manager who guided such talents as Jimmy Snuka & Ray Stevens to the top, and a legit tough guy in every aspect of the word. Gene was very unique in the world of pro wrestling and definitely one of the good ones. He also was one of the participants in one of the best live matches I’ve ever seen not involving guys name Youngblood and Storm.

In Lumberton, North Carolina, probably around 1980, I had the chance to see Gene wrestle Johnny Weaver in a singles match. Both of these guys were getting up in years and had probably wrestled each other 500 times or more by that point in their careers. It was just a small spot show, probably about 200 people if that many, and I don’t know what was up with Anderson and Weaver, but it seemed like they were just in a mood. They put on a wrestling clinic, a classic face (Weaver) versus heel (Anderson) match that stole the show. Nothing fancy, but just good back-and-forth wrestling. Weaver won the match, but they both won my eternal respect. A truly great performer and has talent in every way. RIP Gene Anderson. One of the best.

The American Starship versus Generation Me. Who wins?

The American Starship were, of course, Scott Hall and Dan Spivey in the very early stages of their careers. Generation Me is better known today as The Young Bucks, aka Matt and Nick Jackson. And who wins? Hall & Spivey would spank these two dweebs all night long and make them like it. Hey yo, one more for the bad guys!

Why isn’t AEW using Miro more often? Are they stupid?

Yes. Yes, they are. Miro is a beast who can actually wrestle, has name recognition, and should be all over AEW TV. He’s not and stupidity is the only reason I can think of. I guess Tony Khan just likes to spend money and not make any. sighs

Shawn Michaels versus Eddie Guerrero. Who wins?

This would make for one hell of a fantastic match, especially if Eddie is in the lie, cheat, and steal character. It could easily go either way as to who comes out on top, but if it was up to me, I’d go with Eddie on this one.

Braun is back. Bray is back. Would you bring back Rowan? Would you redo the Wyatt Family or keep them separate?

I’d bring back Rowan as part of a new and improved Wyatt Family to be sure. He’s a link to the original family and really isn’t doing anything outside the WWE right now so toss him a bone and bring him back. As for Braun, he’s moved on and become a heat magnet all on his own. Let him do his thing and deal with the repercussions on his own. Bray doesn’t need him.

Mick Foley has a successful stand-up career. You have the likes of RVD, Dolph, Jake The Snake, and others doing stand-up/telling stories. Is there one talent that you think would be a decent stand-up/telling stories that aren’t doing it but should?

You forgot about the Undertaker, who is doing this too. But as for who isn’t doing this, but should be, how about The Godfather, Charles Wright? Maybe Lisa Moretti, aka Ivory? And if you can get him out of Castle Cornette, how about Jim Cornette? He does great with the podcasts, but imagine Cornette live and doing shows telling stories and answering questions. That would definitely be a must-see event.

WWE wants Steve Austin to wrestle one more match at Wrestlemania. Should he and if so, who should his opponent be?

I probably would go with Austin Theory or Baron Corbin if considering people currently on the WWE roster. The Miz would be, pardon my pun, AWESOME, for a role like this as well.

Stone Cold Steve Austin versus CM Punk at Wrestlemania? Could it happen? Would you like to see it?

Could it happen? If Punk can get released from his AEW contract in time and get healed up from his current injuries, it could most definitely happen. And would I like to see it? Hell yeah! Make it happen, HHH.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, or any questions you may have are welcome and very appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here. I’m going to try and get an hour or so of sleep now before I have to get up. Maybe the cat will leave me alone. Until the next time, take care and be good. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
