Coming up tomorrow night, live on pay-per-view, is the latest Ring of Honor PPV event under the Tony Khan regime. It’s a loaded card with seven strong matches, and of course, you know what that means. It’s prediction time. Let’s do this.

Singles match for the ROH World Championship
If Castagnoli loses, he will have to join the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli

From a wrestling perspective, Claudio should win here and restore some honor and dignity to the ROH Championship belt. But that being said, I’m scared that the temptation to have Claudio doing comedy skits with Jericho and the JAS is most likely eating away at Tony. Can he resist? I doubt it. Look for Jericho to retain via help from the Society and Claudio gets to be made to look like a clown for a few weeks.

Winner and STILL ROH Champion: Chris Jericho

Pure Wrestling Rules match for the ROH Pure Championship
Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Wheeler Yuta

Wheeler is there to represent the B.C.C. and show that despite the loss of their leader, William Regal, they’re still a force to be reckoned with and can’t be taken lightly. I like Garcia, but I think we need at least one title change for this event. This match should be the one.

Winner and NEW ROH Pure Champion: Wheeler Yuta

ROH Women’s World Championship
Mercedes Martinez (c) vs. Athena

I like Mercedes and Athena has been getting a lot of buzzes lately for being so aggressive in the ring, but that being said, I have absolutely no interest at all in this match. Mercedes wins and retains her title.

Winner and STILL ROH Women’s Champion: Mercedes Martinez

ROH World Television Championship
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Juice Robinson

Why is Joe getting all the belts? Joe is a big name and I get that, but does he really need to be both the ROH TV Champion, when ROH doesn’t even have a TV deal or show, and the AEW TNT Champion? No, I don’t think so. He’s losing one of those belts here.

Winner and NEW ROH World Television Champion: Juice Robinson

Swerve In Our Glory (Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor and JD Griffey)

I think here is where we’ll finally see the turn. Swerve turns on Lee and the new kids, Taylor and Griffey, take home the win.

Winners: Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & JD Griffey)

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship
Dalton Castle and The Boys (Brandon Tate and Brent Tate) (c) vs. The Embassy (Brian Cage and Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona)) (with Prince Nana)

The Boys are back in town and I don’t see a title change taking place here. Brian Cage is impressive and from what little I’ve seen of them, Gates of Agony is pretty damn impressive as well. But I like Dalton and the Boys and think they will do well in Tony Khan’s ROH. They’re winning here.

Winners and STILL ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions: Dalton Castle & The Boys

Double Dog Collar match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship
FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (c) vs. The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe)

This should be an amazing match. It’s the third in the series between FTR and ‘Dem Boys and with the double-dog collar match, it’s going to be the match of the night and steal the show. It’s hard to imagine the Briscoes winning, not because they’re not a great tag team (they most definitely are), but because they’re not allowed to be used on AEW television. Why have champions that you can’t talk about or show on TV? But there’s a twist here. FTR has publically spoken about how they’re not used well in AEW and will most likely be leaving when their contracts expire. They spoke of leaving and did the job to the Acclaimed that following Wednesday night on Dynamite. Coincidence? I doubt it. Tony can’t be happy that he’s most likely losing FTR when the contracts are up. Tony’s not happy. They’re doing the JOB.

Winners and NEW ROH Tag Team Champions: The Briscoes

And there you go. Am I right? Am I wrong? What do you think? Let me know. And with that, I’m out of here. Thanks for reading. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
