Coming up on Saturday, live on Peacock and the WWE Network, from the WWE Performance Center, is NXT Deadline, a premium live event featuring that brand new spectacle of a match, The Iron Survivor Challenge. I don’t know much about the new match apart from what Shawn Michaels spoke of yesterday at his media call, but I do know that it’s a big day for NXT, a big show with a lot riding on it, and a pretty solid card. Add that together and that means predictions. So let’s break out the Crystal Ball. It’s time to channel the inner Gary Spivey and figure out who wins, who loses, and who takes that trip to the pay window, if you will. Let’s do this.

Iron Survivor Challenge Match
Carmelo Hayes vs. Grayson Waller vs. Joe Gacy vs. JD McDonagh vs. Axiom

From what I understand, this is a combination between an Iron Man Match and a Gauntlet Match. Five of the most talented guys in NXT right now are competing and I’m actually excited to see how this all turns out. I think it will come down to Waller or Hayes as the final two men and the men to watch in this match. I have a gut feeling that possibly a call to a certain faction of six Wyatt afficiados will soon be taking Waller away from the NXT roster. No breaking news or leaks, but just a feeling in the belly. And with that in mind, I think the man who will bleed, sweat, pay the price, and end up winning will be Carmelo Hayes.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

Roxanne Perez vs. Cora Jade vs. Zoey Stark vs. Kiana James vs. Indi Hartwell (Iron Survivor Challenge)

I’m not as familiar with most of the women as I am the men. No, I’m not being sexist. I’m just not familiar with most of them. I know Stark and Jade, but I just don’t see those two as the next big thing for the NXT Women’s Division. Let’s go with Indi Hartwell. No real reason, but I just have a feeling.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

NXT Championship Match
Bron Breakker vs. Apollo Crews

Crews has really jump-started his career since coming back to NXT and he’s a phenomenal talent, but let’s get serious. Breakker is not losing that NXT Championship anytime soon. I expect we’ll have a great match, but that belt is not changing hands.

Winner and STILL NXT Champion: Bron Breakker

NXT Tag Team Title Match
Pretty Deadly vs. The New Day

This is another match that should be fun to see. Pretty Deadly is a good team and the New Day? Well, they’re the New Day. It should be a fun match, but I can’t see those belts changing hands. New day may win the titles at some point and add to their title count, but this is their first shot at the belts and I can’t see NXT burying Pretty Deadly that way. Pretty Deadly wins and retains their belts.

Winners and STILL NXT Tag Team Champions: Pretty Deadly

Alba Fyre vs. Isla Dawn

Two young women who aren’t quite there yet, but are still far better than any women currently in AEW not named Ruby. This should be a good match, probably used to cool off things between the NXT title match and the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match. I’ve seen Fyre wrestle a couple of times and she has something about her. I’ve also seen Dawn wrestle a couple of times and while she’s good, she doesn’t really stand out in my mind just yet. Fyre wins.

Winner: Alba Fyre

And there you go. Miss Cleo should be happy because the predictions are one and done. Are you planning on watching the NXT Deadline PLE on Peacock? Or are you watching the ROH event instead? Me? I plan on being at a live show being held by American Championship Wrestling and C.A.G.E. here in Laurinburg instead. The Boogie Woogie Man is going to be there. How can I resist? I’ll watch NXT when I get home that night after I type up my report of the ACW/C.A.G.E. event.

Anyhow, let me know what your predictions are. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and be good, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
