I told you I was backlogged with a lot of questions. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s go.
What do you think Tony Khan’s big announcement coming up on Dynamite will be?
As we know now, it was announced that All In will take place in the UK at Wembley Stadium. Finally, Tony made a big announcement that was worthy of the hype. It’s a big move for AEW and it should be interesting to see how this all plays out.
If AJ Styles wasn’t injured what do you think he would’ve done this past weekend?
There really isn’t any telling with the way things are going in the WWE right now, but I suspect that he and his OC partners, Gallows & Anderson, would have had a six-man tag team match against someone as part of the Mania event.
Thoughts on the possibility of Rey Mysterio recruiting Bad Bunny to join LWO and the Rey/Dom feud ending with an eventual retirement match for Rey with Dom taking over as leader of LWO?
Well, it was announced earlier today that Rey & Santos Escobar will be fighting Dom & Damien Priest tomorrow night on Smackdown so we know the feud with Rey versus Dom isn’t over, and based on what happened on RAW this past Monday, Bad Bunny and the LWO are getting involved. Who knows how it will all play out, but I do expect to see Rey & Bunny fighting Dom & Priest at Backlash in some capacity. And an eventual retirement match with Rey versus Dom? Sounds good to me.
You get to choose where Wrestlemania 41 is held. Where have you got and why will it make money?
I would say Charlotte, NC. As for why, Charlotte is a major metropolitan area with a long history in professional wrestling. It’s a no-brainer and I think WWE would be very wise to consider the Queen City as an option for a future Mania. Also, it’s only two hours from my home so I could easily attend. That’s a bonus for me.
Would you rather fight one duck-sized lion or 20 lion-sized ducks?
I’ll take the duck-sized lion. That would be just a cub really and not hard to take down. The lion-sized ducks though? I’ve been chased by a goose before and while they’re technically not the same thing, they are in my eyes. Them things are mean!
What retired PPV would you bring back from the dead to make you all warm and fuzzy in your tum tum?
Looks like we have an Ups Downs fan here. Awesome! I like Simon too. As for what PPV I’d bring back, WCW Slamboree: A Legend’s Reunion. Make it a mix of a modern event with a few “Legend’s Matches” sprinkled in for good measure, plus allow interviews and commentary from stars of the past. It would work great in today’s WWE and be a great opportunity for modern fans to get to know some of those who came before. I’d love to see it brought back.
You have to book a Trios match. In each team, you are allowed 1 superstar from the ’80s, 1 from the ’90s, and 1 current. Who are your two teams?
How about Michael Hayes, Bobby Eaton, and Seth Rollins taking on Arn Anderson, Triple H, and Dolph Ziggler? Admit it. That would make for a fun and awesome match.
Do you think Dolph Ziggler has one last major push left in him?
I think, if given the opportunity, Dolph could easily be a top guy once again and be a main-event star for WWE. All he needs is a chance.
When do you expect Bray Wyatt to return?
Whenever he gets over his “injuries” and is ready to work again. Honestly, it would not surprise me if he never comes back. I think that by bailing out on the Mania match with Lashley, Bray has ruffled a lot of feathers in the office and burned some bridges. I hope that he’s able to mend fences and come back to WWE TV, but if he gets a release soon instead, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Who wins… The Usos & Roman Reigns Vs Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
I think I’ve answered this one at least a dozen times already, but the answer will always be the same. My money is always on The Bloodline.
Should AEW reference any of the Vince/Endeavour shenanigans on Dynamite, or just quietly stay in their lane and try to smash it?
AEW should be mature adults for once and only talk about their own company and wrestlers and the big show coming up in the UK. That would be the smart thing to do, so of course, I’m expecting MJF to come out next Wednesday night on Dynamite and cut a 25-minute promo about Vince and Endeavour and how it will affect him in 2024 when he becomes a free agent. You know it’s going to happen. We’ll probably get some tweets from Tony Khan talking about it as well if they haven’t already happened. AEW cares more about WWE than its own company. It’s true. It’s damn true!
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap this up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
