NWA 312 PPV
Thoughts & Predictions

DougMaynard.com
Coming up tonight is the latest PPV event for the National Wrestling Alliance, the NWA, from Chicago, IL. It’s NWA 312 and of course, that means it’s time to make a few predictions. Are you ready? Let’s go.
NWA Champion Tyrus vs. Chris Adonis.
I have to admit that I’ve enjoyed seeing Tyrus holding the legendary ten pounds of gold on his shoulder every time he makes an appearance on Fox News. It’s great publicity for the promotion and makes that belt feel special. But with that being said, it’s time to switch things up for the NWA, and Chris Adonis, fka Chris Masters, is a great option for doing just that. I like both men and regardless of whoever wins, I’ll be happy. But I think it’s time for Adonis to put the Masterlock on some championship gold.
Winner and NEW NWA World Champion: Chris Adonis
NWA National Champion Cyon vs. EC3 with BLK Jeez.
Cyon has impressed me in the few times that I’ve seen him work, but EC3 is what a professional wrestler should be. I think it’s time that he controls his narrative by wearing a historic title in the NWA.
Winner and NEW NWA National Champion: EC3
NWA Women’s Champion Kamille vs. La Rosa Negra.
Kamille has been the champion for a while and I don’t see that ending anytime soon.
Winner and STILL NWA Women’s Champion: Kamille
NWA Tag Team Champions La Rebelión vs. Magnum Muscle.
La Rebelión is the team of Bestia 666 and Mecha Wolf. Magnum Muscle is the team of Dak Draper & Mims. I don’t know much about the latter team, but I do remember La Rebelión from the last NWA PPV where they captured the belts, and from seeing some of their work from Mexico on YouTube. These guys can work. I don’t think we’re getting a title change here. Look for the champions to retain.
Winners and STILL NWA World Tag Team Champions: La Rebelión
NWA Women’s Television Championship Tournament Finals: Kenzie Paige vs. Max the Impaler with Jim Mitchell.
A tournament final for the newly minted NWA Women’s Television Championship. Just what the NWA needs, right? I don’t know much about Kenzie Paige, but Max the Impaler has fascinated me for a while. And when Jim Mitchell, aka The Sinister Minister, is in her corner, how can she lose?
Winner and NEW NWA Women’s Television Champion: Max the Impaler
NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Country Gentlemen vs. Jax Dane and Blake “Bulletproof” Troop with Chris Silvio, Esq.
A.J. Cazana & Anthony Andrews, aka The Country Gentlemen, have been impressive during their brief run as the U.S. Tag Team Champions, but I’m intrigued by this challenging team of Dane & Troop. I don’t know much about them, but they’ve got a good look and the few matches that I found on YouTube have been impressive. Let’s go with the new champions.
Winners and NEW United States Tag Team Champions: Jax Dane and Blake “Bulletproof” Troop with Chris Silvio, Esq.
NWA Women’s Tag Team Champion Madi Wrenkowski & Missa Kate vs. Ella Envy and Roxy with Kenzie Paige.
All of these ladies are mysteries to me so I’ll just have to go with the gut in making a prediction. Ella Envy sounds like a name from the old GLOW series. I liked GLOW so I’m going with her team to win.
Winners and NEW NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions: Ella Envy & Roxy w/ Kenzie Paige
NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Kerry Morton vs. Joe Alonzo.
Everything I’ve seen thus far of Kerry Morton, the son of Rock & Roll Express Member and Hall of Famer Ricky Morton, has been impressive. Alonzo has had some good matches as well and he’ll be a champion one day, but that day will not be now.
Winner and STILL NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion: Kerry Morton
Bob Luce Memorial Battle Royal for future NWA National Heavyweight Championship Match.
It’s a twenty-man Battle Royal in honor of Bob Luce with the winner getting a title match for the National Heavyweight Championship. I have no idea who Bob Luce is nor do I know who will be taking part in this Battle Royal so how can I make a prediction? I’ll just take a wild guess and throw out a name that might be there and could win.
Winner: Elijah Burke, aka The Pope
Thom Latimer vs. Bully Ray.
This one should be a really good and fun match. The winner isn’t really in any doubt, but Latimer should give Bully a good fight and run for his money before he ends up looking at the lights.
Winner: Bully Ray
Natalia Markova vs. Labrava Escobar (with Christi Jaynes)
I don’t know who Escobar is, but I know that Markova is a favorite of NWA management and is being pushed as a potential big name for the future. And I’ll give her credit where it’s due. She’s good.
Winner: Natalia Markova
Sal the Pal vs. Gaagz the Gymp in a Hair vs. Mask Strap match.
I don’t know who these two are or what their gimmicks are, but just the names and the stipulation of the match tell me that this is the comedy spot of the night. Hair versus Mask. I think I’ll go with the Gymp on this one. We have something in common.
Winner: Gaagz the Gymp
Pre-Show: Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox vs. Daisy Kill and Talos.
From being the champ to working the pre-show. Poor Trevor Murdoch. How the mighty have fallen. And I thought that he and Mike Knox were on opposing sides with Knox being part of the Cardona Family. I haven’t been keeping up obviously. I have no idea who Daisy Kill or Talos is and that tells me everything I need to know about this match.
Winners: Trevor Murdoch & Mike Knox
And there you go with my predictions for the NWA 312 PPV event, tonight in Chicago, IL. It looks like it’ll be a fun show and I’ll be keeping tabs to see how it all goes. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Let me know what you think about the NWA, Tyrus, Chris Adonis, and the rest. I want to know. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and stay well, my friends. I’ll see you on the other side.
Ubuntu!
