Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Sting recently revealed that he doesn’t watch his own matches. Thoughts?
That makes two of us then. I tried watching Sting in AEW, but I remember what he was doing in TNA and WCW, and to be honest about it, most of the AEW stuff made me cringe. So, I didn’t watch many of his matches. Wow, me and Sting have something in common. Go figure.
Jim Ross announced that he will be returning to AEW Commentary at AEW All In Texas. Thoughts?
If he feels that he can handle it, I’m happy for JR. His love and passion for wrestling is obvious. I just hope that he isn’t rushing things.
Scorpio Sky is back in AEW and wrestled on Dynamite after nearly two years of not being used. Thoughts?
Somebody remembered that he’s on the roster. Yay! I’m happy for Sky. He’s a good wrestler and will add much credibility to the AEW product until they forget about him again.
Would you like to see Saraya make her WWE return at Evolution 2?
I am so burned out on Saraya at this point, I don’t care what she does. If she returns at Evolution as part of the Battle Royal, so be it, but if she doesn’t, that’s quite all right as well.
Mercedes Moné wants fans to Stop calling her “Mercedes Hogan”, and says WWE fans are crybabies for wanting her back. Thoughts?
If she doesn’t want to be compared to Hogan, quit acting like him. And do WWE fans want her back? I haven’t seen that, but I’m sure she’s right. And she insults them? She should be happy they even care. I know I don’t.
The Boogeyman recently said that he wants one last run in the WWE. Would you like to see Boogeyman have one last match?
I’d be happy to see The Boogeyman do a Rumble appearance, or maybe be brought in for a one-shot against The Wyatt Sicks. But, aside from that, I don’t see a role for Boogeyman on current WWE TV. A cameo every so often, but nothing more than that.
Do you think WWE will ever incorporate the old WCW Hall of Fame into theirs?
Most of the WCW Hall of Fame members are already part of the WWE Hall of Fame, but it would be cool to see the remaining Inductees, or the WCW Hall of Fame as a whole, inducted into the WWE HOF as a Legacy Inductee. I think (hope) they’ll eventually do it.
Denny Brown versus Sweet Stan Lane. Who wins?
Denny was the long-time NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion. And Stan was primarily seen as a tag team wrestler. That being said, this could be a fun match. These guys would match up very well in my opinion. It’s a tough call, but I’d give Stan the win after interference and a distraction by Bobby Eaton or Jim Cornette, Stan’s partners in the Midnight Express. Stan wins.
Do you think WWE would honor Sabu in their Hall of Fame?
I’d like to see it happen, but I doubt that it ever will.
Who do you think is better, both overall and at their peaks, and who do you prefer, Cena or Triple H?
I prefer Triple H, but who is better? Nobody has had a career like John Cena and when push comes to shove, I think Cena is the better performer.
